Brian has experience in community development and public policy. While at TPMA, Brian has led or advised numerous projects on the future needs of the workforce, utilizing supply/demand (gap) analyses, independent modeling to predict the impact of automation, and forecast the future workforce needs in communities across the country. Highlights include an Industry Analysis & Marketing Study for the City of Yuma (Arizona). This eight-month effort led to the development of an actionable strategy for economic growth for the city. The team created a logic model specifically for this project, which now serves as a best practice model for the organization.
Throughout his time at TPMA, Brian has led several studies and projects in the fields of economic and workforce development. His expert data analysis, strategy development and asset mapping skills make him a critical team member for the success of this project. He recently conducted a talent funnel analysis for a potential industrial site in Boone County, Indiana, identifying existing pools of potential workers, identifying gaps, and highlighting potential future trends. In addition to these efforts, Brian led a statewide assessment for IEDC (Indiana Economic Development Corporation) on the state’s current and future talent demands, focusing on the contribution of high school graduates, post-secondary graduates, and unemployed members of the population, informed by curriculum/course of study data from the Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes program, Indiana Dept. of Education and Perkins reporting data, and the state’s unemployment claimants’ data.
